Welcome to BitCraft Online, a unique MMORPG where the world is shaped entirely by players. Unlike traditional MMOs, there are no instant level-ups, quest logs, or simple tutorials. Instead, you explore a vast, single-shard world where the economy, geography, and settlements are player-driven. This guide will help you navigate your first hours and beyond, covering everything from basic controls to advanced gameplay systems.
Adjust Your Settings
Open the settings menu (bottom-right or press Escape).
Lock your map to north for easier navigation.
Reduce grass detail for better performance.
Enable dark mode for better menu contrast.
Adjust transparency sliders for cleaner overlays.
Enable Debug Mode and press F4 to see your current region—very useful in the vast world.
Movement Tips
Default movement is click-to-move.
Hold right mouse button for smoother movement, ideal for boats or fleeing enemies.
Click on the map to auto-walk to a location, useful for multitasking or breaks.
Chat System
Global chat (white/dark blue) covers your server and continent.
Local region chat (light blue) is for nearby players.
Empire chat functions like global chat.
Access chat via the icon in the lower-left; communication is key.
Build Your Cart ASAP
Follow the WISP tutorial to build your first cart.
Carts provide 10 cargo slots and act as mobile storage.
Store your cart in your vault (press V), summon it with Shift + V.
You can only summon a cart after vaulting it, preventing theft.
Hidden Interactions
Hold Shift + right-click to interact with carts, bags, and other objects directly.
Wildlife Awareness
Red names = aggressive mobs; white names = neutral.
Nighttime spawns more hostile creatures; stay near water to avoid most enemies.
Some enemies have ranged attacks and can swim—stay alert.
Taming Pets and Mounts
Find Elisei, the taming NPC near destroyed towns or player settlements.
Complete quests to earn coins and taming XP.
Level 5 taming unlocks pet owls (vault storage).
Higher taming levels unlock mounts, but riding requires separate training.
Use Other Players’ Buildings
You don’t need to be a settlement member to use workstations (kilns, fields, storage).
Each bank has a separate inventory—plan accordingly.
Press U to highlight nearby workstations and processing status.
Markets and Economy
No global auction house; all trading happens at physical marketplaces.
Use the Market Search (J) to find items and prices across settlements.
When selling, price competitively—lowest listings get priority.
When buying, shop around for the best deals.
Teleportation and Waystones
Use waystones to teleport between settlements.
Teleport cost depends on distance and inventory weight.
Empty inventory teleports cost fewer teleportation points.
Teleportation points regenerate over time and are shown above your stamina bar.
Store items before teleporting to save on costs.
Overview
BitCraft has 12 professions split between gathering and crafting.

Low-tier resources remain valuable if priced well.
Gathering Professions

Crafting Stations
Use specific stations (Mining, Smithing, Carpentry, etc.) to craft and refine items.
Stations have limits on players and project slots.
Some stations are passive (e.g., Smelter, Kiln) allowing multitasking.
Construction Level 20 is required for wagons and advanced buildings.
Use the terraforming tool (type “TERR” in construction menu) to raise/lower terrain.
Terraforming is the fastest way to level construction.
Buildings are prefabs and can be relocated by claim members with permissions.
Buildings on claimed land do not decay.
Claims and Settlements
Deploy a claim totem to own land.
Claim size can be expanded by feeding the totem (upkeep cost increases).
Multiple players can join a claim with designated permissions.
Settlements serve as hubs for trade, crafting, and socializing.
Buildings include barter stalls, storage chests, and workstations.
Settlement owners earn Hex Coins from player activity.
Empires
Unlock empire research to found or join an empire.
Empires have watchtowers fueled by Hexite Capsules (premium currency).
Empires provide cosmetic benefits (capes, banners, titles) but no gameplay advantages.
Empires can siege and take over watchtowers.
Hex Coins
Main currency used for trading and buying from Travelers.
Earn Hex Coins by completing Traveler Tasks or selling crafted goods.

Local, player-driven markets with unique inventories.

Transactions require physical presence at the marketplace.

Tasks reward Hex Coins and Skill XP.
Tasks refresh every 4 hours.
Tasks vary per player; cooperate with friends to complete them faster.
Travelers sell business vouchers to add them to your settlement.

Follow this crafting cycle:
Chop trees and collect Rough Wood Trunks.
